Founded in 2003, 40 years after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave
his ‘I Have a Dream’ speech at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, DreamPioneers seeks to reinvigorate
the national discussion of integration.
DreamPioneers is a national network of young people, including
recent college and law graduates, college and law students, and high school students. The organization plans
to partner with local community organizations that share DreamPioneers’ integration goals, advocate for policy change,
create a clearinghouse for integration research, and develop initiatives to encourage neighborhood and school integration.
This web site features links to the most useful integration
resources on the Internet. In the near future, it will include links to all local offices based on college campuses, syllabi
and educational resources on integration, Pioneer Profiles of people who are having a positive impact on integration in their
communities, a Mover’s Guide to help people select diverse and stable communities when they locate in major metropolitan
areas, and information about research and action projects occurring in local communities.
